The Wave Centre offers ‘Clip ‘n Climb’ and ‘Cave at the Wave’ for the youngster or visit West Coast Indoor Karting for a race around their track.  Cycling and/or walkers can enjoy the scenic coastal path, which runs north to Allonby and Silloth or south to Workington.  The banks protecting the 190-berth marina from the prevailing wind is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The protected plants include the Pyramidal Orchid, Common Centaury, Purple Broomrape and the Kidney Vetch, and is a breeding ground for the Small Blue Butterfly.
